Medication Technician

The role of the Medication Technician is to administer medications safely and effectively to residents, emphasizing legal and ethical responsibilities, as well as communication skills. Medication Technicians work under the supervision of a licensed  professional.

Medication Technicians are allowed to practice in assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, group homes, etc. Upon successful completion of the course and state competency exam, the candidate's name will be placed on the Georgia Medication Technician registry.

Requirements:

• Must hold an active Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Georgia.
• Driver's license
• Social Security Card

2-day course

Day 1-Self-paced Online

Day 2-Clinical Rotation 7:00 am-12 noon

Tuition & Fees:

Course fee-$250

Registration Deposit (deducted from course fee)-$75

Competency Exam Fee- $25.79
